ACADEMY FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND COMPETITVE STUDIES 2018

The Inaugration of Annai Veilankanni’s Academy for Skill Development and Competitive Studies held in the College campus on 16.07.18. It was instigated by Dr. Arun Raaza (Inventor & Entrepreneur) CEO, Arcomm Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd, Chennai and Presided by Mr. P. Subramanian DGM (Retd) Canara Bank (Motivational speaker).

The programme started with a prayer song and the dignitaries lit up the lamp in a traditional style. Dr. S. Devaraj, Chairman, Annai veilankanni’s Group of Educational Institutions gave the presidential address.

Principal Dr. Anita Rajendran welcomed the guests and spoke about the importance of developing skills in various areas. She insisted the Programme would bridge the gap between Education and Industries and reduce unemployment also it would build Entrepreneurship. She welcomed the PG Students.

A special address was rendered by the Secretary Dr. D. Dev Anand, who welcomed the Chief Guests and he further spoke about their ideas and plans to launch the special courses to enrich the students. The aim of the programme is to ensure job assurance for all the students. Skill development would enable them to build up their confidence and overall capability to survive in this Competitive World.

Dr. K.P. Savitha and Ms. V. Mahalakshmi Skill Development Co-ordinators introduced Dr. Arun Raaza
and Mr. P. Subramanian respectively.

Dr. Arun Raaza highlighted on the importance of developing Practical skills. He assured to absorb best students into his organizations. He could see Secretary’s vision to make the students reach the pinnacle of success.

Dr. Arun Raaza advised the students to think innovatively about emerging subjects and reminded them that small inventions make way for Big Business.

Mr. P. Subramanian counselled the students on Self-introspection to evaluate their skill and to build them up.
Mr. Vinoth Kumar (OMS) Infotech briefed about the courses and its uses.
Dr. J. Nomila Merlin, Vice-Principal proposed the Vote of Thanks.
